Malen was raised in a small Argentine village, deeply rooted in 'Pampa' culture. She studied at the University of Buenos Aires and after three years of practice in Argentina, she decided to look for new opportunities abroad. She's been enjoying Vancouver since 2018. Her work covers mostly commercial, residential and curatorial programs. What she enjoys most is designing customized architecture, understanding that each client is unique. Surrounded by artists since childhood and obsessed with vernacular spaces, her varied background and growing interests in photography, textiles, arts and nature provide her with a constantly expanding set of words to talk on what is essential to architecture - "the user, its movement, its feeling and senses; the space, its volume, its scale and textures."
