Landscape Architect | Hapa Collaborative

Maxine is a Landscape Architect and Project Manager with 8 years of experience in landscape architecture, with professional experience in both the UK and Canada. She currently works at Hapa Collaborative in Vancouver, where her approach is rooted in environmental design, with a focus on creating community-focused, accessible spaces that balance human interaction with natural systems and sustainable design. Her areas of interest include public realm and placemaking, urban design, environmental restoration, biodiversity, climate-conscious design, and inclusive landscapes. She has experience across a range of project stages, from concept and planning through to detailed design, coordination, and construction, and enjoys working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. Maxine holds a BA (Hons) in Landscape Architecture from the University of Gloucestershire and an MA in Landscape Architecture from the University of Greenwich. She is particularly interested in supporting students through the transition from academic study into professional practice, including portfolio development, job applications and interviews, navigating the profession, and understanding the day-to-day realities of working as a landscape architect.
