It's been eight years since I left graduate school for the real world of landscape architecture. And this came after five years practicing architecture. Working in both fields in Nigeria, I occasionally joined multi disciplinary teams for short term projects Uganda, Rwanda, Cote D'Ivoire and Ghana. Nearly four years ago, I hit the begin again button, packed up my life and moved to Vancouver. Since January 2020, I've been a landscape designer at PWL Partnership. In true Vancouver fashion, playing outside in water and mountains brings me joy. And my vacation days are planned around the last plane ticket deal I found. My colleagues were in the mentorship program last year and had good things to say, so I thought I'd give this a try. I have the feeling I'll be learning a lot.
