Architect | DIALOG

I am an Architect AIBC and a graduate of the Master of Urban Design program at UBC SALA (Class of 2017). Before coming to Canada, I studied and worked in Bangladesh, gaining a deep appreciation for how culture, context, and resources shape the built environment. Moving to Canada gave me the opportunity to expand my practice and navigate the complexities of professional accreditation and licensing. This experience has strengthened my resilience and commitment to mentorship.

My work sits at the intersection of architecture and urban design, with a focus on affordable housing and mixed-use community development. At Dialog BC, I collaborate with diverse communities, including Indigenous groups, to ensure design outcomes are inclusive, meaningful, and responsive to local values.

Having transitioned from international training to becoming a licensed Architect in British Columbia, I understand the challenges of navigating regulatory frameworks, professional adaptation, and cultural shifts. This journey has taught me the value of persistence, adaptability, and seeking mentorship, which I aim to pass on to the next generation of designers.

I believe architecture and urban design have the power to transform both the physical landscape and the social fabric of communities. I aspire to continue creating spaces that foster equity, belonging, and sustainability, and as a mentor, I look forward to sharing insights from my journey while inspiring students to use design as a tool for lasting, positive impact.
